The story introduces Sam, the ghost boyfriend who from the afterlife protects his girlfriend Molly from all kinds of dangers. Sam was later killed in the street by a mugger.

Already a ghost, Sam decides to join a medium named Oda Mae (Whoopi Goldberg) to try to solve some unfinished business and discover the whole truth about her murder.

Directed by Jerry Zuckerthe film also portrays how the love between Molly and Sam can overcome any obstacle.

Channing Tatum did not provide further details on the remake, but it could be him who takes on the role of Sam. (YO)
