The diversity and richness of the Spanish language will be celebrated through poetry in a meeting that brings together 40 countries and 230 authors. This is the second edition of the Pan-Hispanic Poetry Festival which started on Sunday, November 20 and will run until Saturday, December 3.

Countries like Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Ecuadoramong others, join this party organized by international Bukowski House, in a hybrid format made up of 18 face-to-face tables and 20 virtual tables. In these there will be poetry readings, conversations with literary critics, presentation of literary magazines, Masonic tables, with music as an added ingredient.
Eduardo Leon Rodriguezcoordinator of the festival in Ecuador, maintains that through this meeting the Spanish language is enhanced. “We seek to empower our language in a global way, regardless of geographic location as a tool precisely for relationship and artistic expression, that it is used precisely in any type of latitude and that we always try to overcome the obstacles that the language may represent”, he affirms.

“Ecuador’s presence is strong in this festival”, says León, who is also a writer and poet. This Thursday November 24, at 09:35, Sofia Amaranta Goglia, Giancarlo Castro, Andrea Crespo, Tyrone Maridueña They will participate in a poetry reading that will be conducted by León. The activity will be at the El Libertador Educational Unit (La FAE citadel, Cosme Renella avenue and Plaza Dañín avenue). The activity will be broadcast live on Casabukowski’s Facebook page and the Bukowski Television YouTube channel.
On Sunday, November 27, there will also be another virtual participation of Ecuador with the authors Mario César Quintero, Mijail Alvarado, Elizabeth Oviedo, Betsabé Letamendi, Elsy Santillán and Yakile Hidalgo, from Cuba.
While on Saturday, November 26, the writer from Cuenca Jorge Davila Vazquez will be part of a virtual table that brings together other international poets from Colombia, Spain, Chile and Costa Rica.
At the closing of the festival, on Saturday, December 3, the Ecuadorian Elena Omaira Moscoso will receive a special award for her career in the visual arts.
