“How nice to be single”: Luz Pinos sings to the “Solteronas” and breaks the paradigms behind this definition

Being single is fashionable, it is chanted in discos; and it is that the definition of spinster “is already old”, says Light Pines. What used to be a headache and led to hasty decisions in sentimental terms, just to avoid “being left on the hanger”, today it has become a lifestyle or something not to worry about. “How nice to be single”, defends the artist, in front of a group of journalists.

They want to be prophets in their own land; Ecuadorian artists dream of a powerful billboard of national concerts

All the sensations, pressures and desperation that this expired label produced are collected in the new song by Pinos, under the name of Spinster. With sounds that blend pop, jazz or a Brazilian samba, the artist sings to this stage of life, where she finally invites one to love oneself.

“It is a song that was born from that need to talk about the harmful topic that it is, the pressure that exists in a society, here in Ecuador, above all, I have felt it around me”maintains the author of other songs such as So that? Y I have something to tell you.

When a specific age is reached, society torments men and women with questions such as: when do you get married?, when will the children come?, do you want to stay on the hanger?; questions that the past generation was burdened with all the time, and that are still seen today.

“It is so unnecessary and so personal, it may be that the person is going through some very strong emotional problem, or has depression, or suddenly does not connect with someone, it is not his dream of his life to get married and that is fine”, considers Pinos, who began to create this topic between mockery and the need to talk about it.

And it is that the decisions and conditions of others must be respected. “Yes, it is very important that we give more importance to the people around us being happy, to fulfilling themselves, to fulfilling their dreams, to being their best version so that they can meet people who are also doing the same and not Get married and be unhappy, and put up with it because that’s life.”

“I know many families that are destroyed and that they prefer to live like this, than to live happily, and thus we do a lot of damage to our children as well and then to the people around us”Add.

In March she appeared on the Spotify billboard of the New York Times Square, being the cover of that month of Equal Andesa list within the Spotify platform that was launched on International Women’s Day and in which you can listen to the content of female creators in 178 markets.

For the following year, he promises a new album, which will include between eight and ten songs, of which he has already presented the themes:What am I going to do?, Live with you, I don’t love you anymore, Capulí, I have something to tell you Y Spinster.
