He lives with his teenage daughter Sara (Nico Parker) and brother in a shared house in the suburbs, has nice elderly neighbors and is celebrating his birthday. In one day, the world as he knew it literally crumbles to pieces, and civilization burns before his eyes. Viewers are blown away by how well this introduction to the story is scripted, directed, and brilliantly acted.
