The entity mentions that there is no special condition for vehicles to leave for Peru or Colombia, it is enough to carry the documents that prove your circulation (current license and vehicle registration or original notarial letter, in case the driver is not the owner of the vehicle). However, the Senae states that Ecuadorians who wish to leave the country must comply with the following:

• Have your vaccination card on hand and present it to the Peruvian Health personnel at Cebaf (Peru capital). In the case of leaving through the border with Colombia, it is not necessary to present it at the exit, but it is necessary to present it on your return with at least two vaccinations.
• Acquire SOAT insurance, which is required by Peruvian law, approximate cost ($10). In the case of the border with Colombia, the value of the SOAT will depend on the year of the vehicle and its cylinder capacity, which can range between $9 and $27.
• Approach the migration of Ecuador and register your departure (passport – ID) at the Cebaf head of Peru.
