Twitter, what do the colors of the badges that the network is showing mean?

Twitter Blue is back. After a series of errors in the verifications of the social network, the paid subscription has returned to the platform. If you are not familiar with the term Twitter Blue, it is nothing more than a subscription on the platform, this does not mean that Twitter is no longer free, but rather that it gives its subscribers a series of advantages.

Twitter Blue costs $8 a month on the web and $11 a month for those who sign up for iOS, the iPhone operating system.

The return of Twitter Blue brought with it some new verification badges with different colors. The social network has begun testing a service called Twitter Blue for Business which gives users a check of a new color. Other gray ones will also be presented.

These would be the new verification marks and badges of Twitter

blue check

The blue check mark can mean two different things: that an account has been verified based on Twitter’s previous criteria (active, notable, and authentic), or that the account has an active subscription to the new Twitter Blue subscription product. The classic, in blue, will go to those individual profiles.

golden check

This indicates that the account is commercial and will be done through Twitter Blue for Business. Although this subscription is still in the testing phase.

Google already has your account with the new verification.

gray check

Accounts with this badge are related to government entities.

This modality of the social network is only available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, although the company plans to extend the Twitter Blue to more countries soon. Twitter Blue subscribers will gain access to exclusive subscriber features like Edit Tweet, 1080p video uploads, and reader mode. (AND)
