The Ecuadorian designer has made this new line that will also be the first to be available in a chain of stores nationwide.
This is a new chapter in his 24-year career. You, the recent collection of the Ecuadorian designer Fabrizio Célleri, is a proposal that carries its creative essence intrinsically and that also marks a new beginning, it is the first collection projected under the concept ready to wear (ready to use).
“The collection was born after this time of confinement, of rebirth, of reinvention that I have lived throughout my life, every year I reinvent myself and it is common in my personal and professional life. It was born from seeing the scarcity of events, which were no longer the suits that one had normally been making and the one that people consumed the most, because national designers focus more on one line pret a couture or at night, because a ready to wear people get it in stores that sell products for commercial, massive, cheaper consumption, ”says Célleri.
You will be his first collection to be sold in a department store (in two months it would be available). “You is inspired by a more casual, urban woman who at the same time maintains style, because that has been what characterizes the brand. You is born and from it many more consecutive collections will be generated ready to wear”, mentions about the line that it has 157 garments, 72 looks (sets).
The designer turned to the format fashion film (fashion mini-short film) that recorded You. The chosen setting was the Aerovía de Guayaquil, whose mobility and travel function are in line with the spirit of this collection.
“There is a lot of white, there is also some stripes, it is a collection that although it is true is spring summer 2022, this collection also has knitted cotton, plain weave cotton, some resort, red that must always be in my collections and in all my work, because red is the presence of my mother, who is 28 years absent. in my physical life, but red is always in my collections and in works of architecture and design. It was worked on and every day I fell more in love ”, he says about his designs that he began to work on them in April and they were presented a month ago in the parade recorded for 16 hours.

The color palette is governed by various intensities of blue, contrasted by pale hues such as pink, melon, brown, and subtle touches of green.
You amalgamate common references of casual clothing with visual and tactile textures, through striped prints, interventions of tie-dye (dyeing technique), slight paint splashes and incorporates crochet fabric, in the form of tops and tote-style bags. As for garments, the jackets stand out -with airs oversized and slightly masculine-, vests, pants, skirts and dresses in different versions that allow freedom in the mobility of whoever wears the garment. Among the fabrics, on the other hand, denim, cotton, gabardine and jersey stand out.

Célleri wants to underpin the image of Guayaquil as the fashion capital of the country, through his creative work (this collection took four months) and the short film of the parade.
“The means of transportation was a conceptual part of the guideline because it was the fact of transporting my brand, which had been a one of a kind of this costume made to visualize the woman that I see, the urban woman, casual, with style, with personality and yes, to promote the fact of holding events at an international level such as Colombiamoda, that is the vision I have with this collection ”, he mentions.

Célleri’s vision is complemented by the designer’s jewelry Vero Gumbs, Maximalist-sized pieces derived from a ceramic and porcelain deconstruction process, which were later decanted into earrings, chains, rings and pins. The footwear bears the signature of Ziba Artisans (Célleri’s nieces), who made some of their models with pieces of denim provided by the designer.
