The last day to get rid of the tree is February 2, i.e. during the Candlemas ceremony. That’s when green ornaments are removed from churches across the country. According to tradition, this is the last moment to get rid of the Christmas tree. If you still have a decorated tree in your home, you still have a few weeks to remove the ornaments and throw it away. The question remains, what about decorations?
Where to throw a Christmas tree? The answer is trivially simple
If you have the opportunity, try to plant . In this way, you will give it a second life and reduce the production of waste. When this is not possible, you can simply throw the tree in the trash. However, remember not to put it in the “bio” container. The green ornament should be placed in a place designated for bulky waste. Another way is to take the Christmas tree directly to the Point of Selective Collection of Municipal Waste (PSZOK).
If your Christmas tree has roots and you can’t plant it yourself, you can give it to foresters. They often collect trees that will be re-incorporated into the ecosystem. For this reason, only native species such as Norway spruce, Scots pine and silver fir are taken into account.
