The representation agency JYP Entertainment, from where several K-pop groups are managed, has announced that the artist Jinni will leave the Nmixx group. The interpreter is one of the seven original members of this band that officially debuted in February with the album Ad Mare, but has decided leave it for personal reasons.
“Jinni, who has been a member of Nmixx until now, will be leaving the group due to personal circumstances and his exclusive contract has been terminated. We apologize for worrying many fans with this sudden news. We ask you to give Jinni much encouragement as she will walk a new path, and we also ask NSWER (Nmixx fans) to give their warm support to the six members who will continue to grow and run towards their dreams,” the statement said.
Nmixx has achieved a great impact in a short time. The Korean group was introduced in 2021 and debuted in February 2022. In this time they have managed to be nominated for the KBS World Radio K-pop Awards, the Melon Music Awards, they have won the award for favorite new artist at the MAMA Awards and they are still competing for an award at the Genie Music Awards.
The band has reached almost 3.5 million monthly listeners on the platform streaming Spotify. (AND)
