The voices of choral groups will unite in a single festival organized by the Guayaquil University. This Thursday the first edition of the university choir festival will take place voice of voices.
“The university not only seeks to work with them on the academic side, but also on the cultural side. What this type of activity does is encourage our students”, manifests Francisco Aguilera Naranjochoir director and mentalizer of the festival.
Juan Fernandez, dean of Student Welfare and representative of the university, says that they aspire to make it an international festival. “For the first time in history, this festival is being held in commemoration of the 155 years of our University of Guayaquil (…). We hope that in 2023 the university will have a greater budget and support for all cultural activities”, declares.
At the university choir festival voice of voices the choir of the Espíritu Santo University, directed by Monica O’Reily Viamontes; choir of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Guayaquil, directed by Ruth Diaz Estupiñan; choir of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Quito, directed by Karol Liliana Caicedo; student choir from the University of Guayaquil, directed by Francisco Aguilera Naranjo; choir of the Santiago de Guayaquil Catholic University, directed by Alex Mora Cobo; and that of the National Polytechnic University of Quito, directed by Eugenio Auz Sanchez.
The meeting will take place from 6:00 p.m. in the Architect Alfonso Correa Rodas auditorium, of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Guayaquil. (YO)
