The Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with John Frusciante. Enjoy themselves on “Unlimited Love”

Our goal is to lose ourselves in the music. We spent thousands of hours together and individually to record the best album we can make. We are grateful that we were able to re-enter the studio together and once again try to be better – say the members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. – For days, weeks and months we listened to each other, composed, played, arranged, all with care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies just hypnotized us.

Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘ready for the big wave to come’

“We wanted to bring a little light to the world, lift people’s spirits a little, and make music connect us all. Each of the songs on “Unlimited Love” reflects our view of the world. It’s our life mission,” add Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante. – We are doing everything to be ready for the arrival of the big wave. This record is a ride through the sum of our experiences. We hope you like it. rock it!

The album “Unlimited Love” was first promoted by the introspective song “Black Summer”, saturated with hypnotic percussion groove and expressive bass. There was also a juicy guitar solo. The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”, “Obi-Wan Kenobi”), appreciated in the film world. The result was a slightly psychedelic film clip with unusual photos.

John Frusciante, who returned to the band after more than 15 years, talked a bit about the musical inspirations behind “Unlimited Love” and work on the material:

When we started working on the album, we played old songs from artists like Johnny “Guitar” Watson, The Kinks, The New York Dolls and Richard Barrett. Over time, we started adding new ideas, which gradually turned into full-fledged songs, and after a few months we were already playing our new numbers. Everything was effortless. We just had fun playing other people’s songs while creating our own. This album is an expression of love and faith in ourselves.

“Unlimited Love” is also the return of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to cooperation with Rick Rubin, who produced such legendary albums for the band as “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” (1991), “Californication” (1999), “By The Way” (2002) or Stadium Arcadium (2006). Here is the full tracklist of the album:
