A “brief illness” ended this Wednesday, November 30, with the life of the British Christine McVievocalist and keyboardist of the rock band Fleetwood Mac. The artist died at the age of 79, as announced by her family in a statement.
The death occurred this morning in a hospital, accompanied by their loved ones. The statement published on her Facebook account states that her departure took place “peacefully.”
“We kindly ask that you respect the privacy of the family at this extremely painful time, and we would like you all to keep Christine in your hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was universally loved.”, declares his family in the statement.
His fellow Fleetwood Mac members also expressed their grief over McVie’s death. There are no words to describe our sadness. The first line of the statement reads about the artist who is described as “truly unique, special and talented beyond all measure.”
“She was the best musician anyone could have had in a band and the best friend anyone could have had in their life. We were really lucky to have shared life with her.”the statement continues.
The group, formed in London in 1967 by vocalist and guitarist Peter Green, the pianist and vocalist Jeremy Spencerthe drummer Mick Fleetwood and the bass player Bob Brunning, expressed his appreciation for the “fantastic memories” the artist has left behind.
