In the second part of the film, we see detective Benoit Blanc, who is locked at home due to the pandemic and is tired of the lack of intriguing puzzles. That is why he decides to travel to Greece at the invitation of the American billionaire Miles Bron. A murder takes place in his luxurious villa and Blanc’s task will be to identify the perpetrator from a colorful group of suspects.
Hugh Grant on ‘Glass Onion’
In the first part of the film, “Knives Out” we could learn very little about the private life of the main character. The second part reveals the mystery to us. The director of the film, Rian Johnson, just before the premiere of the production confirmed that the character played by Craig is homosexual. This time we even get to know the person Benoit Blanc lives with. This is Phillip, played by Hugh Grant.
Many viewers wondered what the relationship between the two was. While the plot of the film may have implied that the men are in a relationship, it was not explicitly named. Some fans assumed they were friends or relatives, not fully understanding why two adult men lived together. All speculations were cut short by Hugh Grant in a recent conversation with the portal. In it, he told more about Philip and Blanc’s relationship:

He went on to explain how he ended up in the cast of “Glass Onion: A Knife Out Movie”:
It’s a very small episode. I really don’t know why they came up with it that way, but either way, I thought the first Knives Out was brilliant, so I figured why not? I showed up [na planie] for a few hours
There is a high probability that Grant will appear in the third installment of the series. Film director and screenwriter Rian Johnson recently said that he has already started writing the screenplay for the next detective Blanc movie. The next part of “Knives Out” will most likely appear in 2024.
It is also worth mentioning that “Glass Onion: A Film from the Knives Out” series is currently the most popular film in Poland on the Netflix streaming service.
