What are blackheads and what makes them appear on the nose?

There are sebaceous glands on the human skin. In children, they are practically invisible, but due to hormonal changes during puberty, this changes. More sebum begins to be produced, and if the epidermis does not exfoliate as it should, and the openings of the glands are clogged with a sticky mass of sebum and dead, non-exfoliated epidermal cells, blackheads begin to form.

The most visible – black – are the so-called. blackheads open. Their dark color comes from the fact that the keratin present in dead skin cells is oxidized upon contact with air. Regular cleaning is extremely important because they are the perfect breeding ground for the bacteria responsible for the formation of acne.

We can distinguish:

  • blackheads (blackheads) closed – white dots resembling porridge,
  • blackheads (blackheads) open – black dots resulting from the oxidation of sebum, dead skin and impurities.

Gelatin mask. An effective home remedy for blackheads

You will only need these two ingredients that you probably already have in your home.

  • 2 teaspoons of food gelatin,
  • 2 tablespoons of water or milk.

A mask that will perfectly remove blackheads is a peel-off mask. Preparing it yourself at home is child’s play.

  1. All you have to do is pour the gelatin with water or milk and leave it for five minutes.
  2. Then heat the mixture in the microwave or water bath until it dissolves.
  3. Wait for the liquid to cool, then apply it to the blackheads. They are most common on the nose and chin.
  4. Wait 15-20 minutes.
  5. When the mask is completely dry, peel it off your face with a firm movement. The blackheads should disappear with the mask.

Another excellent homemade mask for blackheads is egg white.

You will need:

  • 1 egg white,
  • a tissue.

The recipe for this mask is also extremely easy to make.

  1. Start by whipping the egg whites with a whisk.
  2. Then apply them on the nose, forehead and chin (or other places where blackheads appear).
  3. Place one layer of tissue paper on top.
  4. After 15-20 minutes, when the protein with the tissue dries, tear off the mask with a firm movement from the skin. Blackheads, as in the case of the previous mask, will be removed from the skin with it.
