TANGO presents two delicious innovations with different ingredients

For more than 30 years TANGO has been one of Nestlé’s emblematic brands in the Ecuadorian market and now it has new varieties.

With the intention of investing in and transforming the traditional snack brand, Nestlé is launching two new and delicious products with combinations of ingredients that adapt to the trends and needs of the new generations.

Now the consumer, in addition to the well-known presentation of two biscuits filled with cream and covered with chocolate flavor, will be able to enjoy the new products TANGO Manicero and TANGO Mega. Two innovations that stand out for the mix of ingredients between chocolate, peanuts and cookies, which positions them as one of the newest options on the market.

TANGO Manicero is a 100% Ecuadorian chocolate that fuses flavors and textures due to its inclusions of peanuts and cookies, creating a delicious crunchy tablet. On the other hand, TANGO Mega is a bar that combines layers of wafer cookies filled with peanut-flavored cream dipped in a chocolate-flavored coating that has peanut pieces as toppings.

Christian Guerrero, vice president of Confectionery at Nestlé Ecuador, highlights the first option of 20 grams, its inclusions. “It is a chocolate bar that gives you something more, a flavor trip that comes from the mixture of the saltiness of the peanut from our MANICERO brand, combined with the cookie pieces from the classic version of TANGO”, Guerrero details. In the case of TANGO Mega, he mentions that he sought to innovate from the traditional portfolio, giving the consumer an option with other characteristics in its profile, since it has more balance in its flavor due to the wafer and cream biscuit layers.

With these launches, the brand seeks to satisfy a public that expects new alternatives, with the demand for greater indulgence and quality that only Nestlé can guarantee.

“Satisfying the tastes and demands of consumers is our reason for being. TANGO, which has been considered one of our flagship brands, a benchmark for innovation, which arrived in the country more than 26 years ago, today is being transformed and expanded with new varieties that we are sure will delight all Ecuadorian palates,” says Christian. Warrior.

Something very important is that TANGO Manicero is made with 100% national cocoa, which comes from farmers who are part of the “Plan Cacao de Nestlé” program, which seeks to create shared value with producers, their families and communities; at the same time improve their competitiveness in the cocoa business.

“Being a food company, we recognize that primary production (from the field), be it cocoa, milk, coffee, spices, is a fundamental input for our production processes; So guiding and giving support from the production of raw materials is what generates added value”, explains Guerrero, mentioning that more than 4,000 farmers nationwide are involved in this program.

These product proposals demonstrate Nestlé’s commitment and leadership in the chocolate and snacks category.
