Beans, lentils, with corn and an extra generous amount of melted cheese. The moor, that typical mixture of rice with grains of different types and without a defined recipe, is the star dish of the festival morolocoa gastronomic event that this week is organizing its first edition and that has chosen this typical preparation as its protagonist.
Jorge Anibal Cassisbusinessman and creator of digital content, is the creator and person in charge of the conference -with the endorsement of the Guayas Prefecture, Daule Municipality and the Guayas Chamber of Tourism- which brings together 160 restaurants and specialized businesses.
“This was an idea that was born on my social networks, at the request of my followers, in many of my posts they left comments asking me where to eat the best Moorish in the city and in August, after meeting with the foodies and the production team, we decided to make a day like this a reality”, mentions Cassis, who is also a well-known personality on digital platforms for his hollow recommendations.
Moroloco will open on Friday, November 18. That day, attention to the public will start at 12:00 and will continue until 22:00, while on Saturday and Sunday the activity will begin at 09:00.
Among the participating enterprises are Puerto Moro, Moro Grill, Rukito Grill, El Noventazo, among others.
The event will take place on the esplanade of Riocentro El Dorado and during the three days it will feature the presentation of various artists, including Gustavo Lara, Jorge Luis Del Hierro, Don Manny, Los Intrépidos, Au-D, among others. The shows are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
On the opening day (Friday 18), admission will be free until 3:00 p.m. On the other hand, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20, admission per person is $5. Children are free up to 12 years old.
Cassis began creating content on digital platforms almost two years ago and he says that it was after a video in which he appeared with his daughter eating hamburgers that various businesses and restaurants invited him to their facilities to record videos of gastronomic recommendations.
