Who is Ornella Muti?

She is considered one of the most important sex symbols in European cinema and one of the most beautiful women in the world. With a Neapolitan father and a mother of Russian descent, she made her film debut in 1970, when she was only 15 years old, paradoxically in the film La Moglie più bella (the most beautiful wife). That was the beginning of a career that would lead her to become one of the greatest sex symbols from the seventies and eighties and to captivate large and luxurious fashion firms.

Now, at 67, she reappeared at the famous Sanremo Festival, where she was a presenter, dressed as Francesco Scognamiglio with that magnetism and great beauty that has characterized her throughout her life.

Her slanted green eyes, her harmonious face, her full lips and her statuesque body captivated dozens of Italian producers and directors who wanted her in their films. In one of her performances, she met the man who would be her husband, the actor Alessio Orano, whom she married in 1975. A year before the marriage, she had her daughter Naike.

After her divorce with Orano, in 1981, she married Federico Fachinetti in 1988, with whom she had two children, Andrea and Carolina. In 1994, after an established career in the film industry, she was chosen in a worldwide poll held by the magazine classes as “the most beautiful woman in the world”. She is currently a partner of Fabrice Kerhervé, a Franco-Italian businessman.

Ornella is very private and doesn’t talk about anything she doesn’t want to reveal. Her career in the cinema includes many films such as Flash Gordon (1972), The Bible: Esther (1999), In Search of Christ’s Tomb (2006).

During her professional career, Muti’s beauty led her to be closely related to the fashion industry. She attended many parades – the last one in the commemoration of Fendi’s 90 years, together with Karl Lagerfeld, in the Trevi Fountain – and she starred in multiple fashion campaigns.
