The media has been speculating for years about the creation of the third part of “Mamma Mia”. The producer of the musical, Judy Craymer, mentioned the continuation of the cult production with Swedish songs a few years ago. In an interview with The Daily Mail, she revealed that she had the idea to resume the series a long time ago, but the coronavirus pandemic effectively thwarted her plans. “I think one day there will be a third part, because from the beginning I wanted it to be a trilogy. And Universal would like me to make a third film – in conversation.

Equally positive about this idea were the actors playing in the previous parts of the musical. Amanda Seyfried, who plays the main character, Sophie, confessed that working in the company of such a cast is a pleasure and she is eager to return to the set of “Mamma Mia”.
