The Órgiva Library (Granada) has neither more nor less than 94 copies of the Quixoteas collected in his account Twitter. And he is on his way to add one more, the most special of all. The one that the inhabitants of the town will write with their own handwriting as a tribute to the man who, in love with the work of Cervantes, dedicated himself to collecting copies and copies.

The first came from the Real home at his request, Agustin Martin Zaragoza. He managed to collect a total of 94 copies of different languages of the 39 that were there when he arrived. Six years after his death, the room where they meet bears his name: Aula Cervantina “Agustín Martín Zaragoza”. It will be there where the new issue handwritten by the residents of the town.

Fifty of them have already committed to be part of the initiative that Mari Carmen Martina librarian who came to the room full of Quixotes 25 years ago, decided to promote honor his predecessor. “Agustín taught me to fall in love with Don Quixote,” he confesses to the cameras of laSexta. The Councilor for Culture of Órgiva, Angel Garcia Carpenterwants all visitors to also participate in the writing of the new copy of Don Quixote.

As some of the residents of the town have already done. “The Quijote It has been with us for so many years that it is already part of us,” says one of them. “When the years pass, we will all love to say that we have participated,” adds another. At the moment, it is not known how long it will take to write the 52 chapters by hand. What they do know is that they will always remember it.
