Durangoko Azokathe Durango book and record fair, has opened its doors wideand the most important event in Basque culture has recovered its normal image.
The 57th edition of Azoka began in the morning, as usual, with teenagers buying books and records, as well as taking photos with the musicians they admire. After Ikasleen Goiza, in the afternoon, it was time for the general public. Katixa Agirre, Arkaitz Cano, Zea Mays, Gatibu and many others have been the most sought after.
And afterwards, the San AgustÃn cultural center has hosted the official opening act, with a theater aroma. Thus, the Gerediaga association has officially started the fair under the slogan “EztanDA!”.
“After two years, we will experience the Azoka explosion this year. Yes, explosion, explosion of Basque culture, explosion of creation and partyingan explosion that will spread from all of Durango to all of Euskal Herria”, said its president, Nerea Mujika.
With the first day, the concerts have also returned to Ahotsenea. Throughout the week, Durango will be the capital of Basque culture. 270 cultural events and 930 novelties can be seen, heard, bought and enjoyed in Landako Gunea. Here you can see all the programming.
