Tourism vouchers of the Community of Madrid: terms, how and when to request them

We are progressively returning to normal after the pandemic and with this we regain our leisure habits and, even if the domestic economy allows it, we increase them. Among the plans that have suffered the most restrictions are the travel and cultural eventssuch as concerts, exhibitions, museums and theatrical performances.

The Community of Madrid to encourage national tourism in the region has created some 50% discount vouchers for the cultural and leisure offer of the Community. They can be accessed by all people with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spanish territory from November 16.

Another of the main conditions for discounts to be applied is spend the night in an accommodation in the region. Therefore, in order to enjoy the benefits in services and accommodation, you must include a minimum stay of one night in the community. Likewise, to be able to enjoy the transport discount, the minimum stay must be two nights.

What are the new tourist vouchers?

The new tourism vouchers for the Community of Madrid are a initiative of the Government of the region to promote tourism. In this way, they have created individual vouchers with which 50% of the consumption of cultural tourism products and services is discounted on the purchase price with a maximum of 600 euros -VAT included-.

When and how to request them?

Any person with Spanish nationality or who has legal residence in the territory of Spain can access these cultural vouchers. from November 16. To request them, you must fill in the web form: www.bonosturisticoscomunidaddemadrid.es of the Community of Madrid.

Deadlines: When do they expire?

Regarding the deadlines to be able to obtain the discounts, it must be taken into account that the reservation must be made with at least 10 calendar days in advance of the travel date and they should consume the services for a maximum of 40 days afterwards having made the reservation.

In addition, the validity of the vouchers will last until May 15 or until funds run out which are 5 million euros, which the Government of Diaz Ayuso has allocated for this initiative and with which it hopes to generate an economic impact of 14.5 million euros in the regional tourism sector.

Including?

To date it is only specified that they include the 50% in tourist and cultural products and services of the region that are hired in travel agencies and accommodation participating in the program and that incorporate the hiring of a minimum stay of one night. To find out the establishments, we will have to wait until the day of November 10 passes, which is the deadline they have to enroll in the program.

In addition, a 50% discount on transportation originating in Spain and destined for the Community of Madrid, hiring through collaborating agencies. For this discount to apply, the minimum stay in the community must be two nights.
