Supermodel Linda Evangelista resumes her career. The icon of the 90s returns to the catwalks

At the beginning of the year, the muse of photographer “Vogue” Steven Meisel publicly reported in the media about her current situation. Due to complications from unsuccessful aesthetic medicine treatments, 90s icon Linda Evangelista hated her body and interrupted her modeling career. In February, after a long hiatus, she appeared on the cover of People magazine, where she shared her story. After over 700 covers for the most significant magazines in the industry, this one turned out to be the strongest. A few months later, the model announced a great return to the world’s catwalks.

She loved the runway until she began living in fear

In People, Evangelista admitted:

I loved walking on the catwalks, today I’m afraid to meet someone I know. I can no longer live in hiding. I have a great deal of pain within me that I have to start talking about.

The complications that changed the appearance of the model occurred as a result of the procedure consisting in reducing body fat by freezing it. The clinic was sued for $ 50 million between 2015 and 2016. However, Linda struggled much longer with the effects of a failed correction. She was diagnosed with an overgrowth of adipose tissue. Despite unwanted deformations, she appeared in an exclusive photo session. It was the first step to accepting your new self.

The model shared the information about returning to the catwalk on Instagram. He will take part in a special Fendi show to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic baguette bag. The author of the design is the face of the brand, Silvia Venturini Fendi. The event is scheduled for September 9 this year. It is also intended to be a celebration of the two years since he joined the company as Kim Jones as Art Director of Women’s Fashion. The show is promoted by a special photo session. Linda Evangelista shared shots from the brand’s campaign. However, she did not comment on how she felt before returning to her old job.

Support not only from fans

Positive reactions prevail under Evangelista’s post. Expressions of support, admiration and enthusiasm are shared not only by fans, but also recognizable representatives of the world of fashion and show business, incl. stylist Jimmy Paul or Madonna’s actress and friend Debi Mazar. “I am sending a lot of litters! I will not be able to come, but I dream to see it” – she wrote.

The post already has over 40,000. Likes, it was also shared by Kim Jones himself. This is one of the few photos of the model on Instagram that is not a look at the past. Perhaps, after working with Fendi, Evangelista will again become active in the industry. Other icons of the 90s, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, still appear on the walls.
