Judge Joaquín Gadea will take a statement from the president of CaixaBank in the piece that investigates BBVA’s relationship with former commissioner José Manuel Villarejo.

The president of CaixaBank Jose Ignacio Goirigolzarri will have to testify as a witness in the separate piece of BBVA of the Villarejo case.
This was confirmed this Thursday by the judge of the National Court Joaquin Gadea. Likewise, he has ruled out citing the president of BBVA, Carlos Torres Vila.
In a car, Gadea explains that, at the request of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Officewill take a statement from Goirigolzarri in his capacity as former CEO of BBVA.
The magistrate also agrees to summon as a witness the entity’s former Director of Communication, Javier Ayusoas requested by the private prosecution.
