The Ministry of Production (Produce) established the reproductive closure of the resource cry at peruvian sea from November 2 to 30 of this year, that is, it prohibits any extractive activity that involves this resource, as well as its transport, commercialization and storage
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 00357-2021-PRODUCE, published this Monday, November 1, the transport, commercialization and storage can be carried out in an exceptional way as long as there is indubitable documentation and of a certain date that demonstrates that the aforementioned resource has been extracted before the establishment of the closure.
Meanwhile, the Peruvian Sea Institute (Imarpe) will carry out the monitoring and follow-up of the main biological, population and fishing indicators of the choro hydrobiological resource, having to inform and promptly recommend to the Ministry of Production the necessary fishing management measures.
It should be specified that non-compliance with the rule will be sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of the General Fisheries Law, applied by the Ministry of Production.
