Indecopi invokes the population not to consume the Gloria products alerted by Digesa

The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) ruled on the statement issued by the General Directorate of Environmental Health and Food Safety (Digesa), where the alleged presence of mold in two versions of the product Battimix, and invoked the population not to consume the products alerted by the health authority and also explained that it is taking actions within the framework of its powers, in order to prevent possible harm to the health of consumers.

It also reported that It is communicating urgently to various associations, food markets and unions in general of this situation to alert about the commercialization of the products mentioned by the health authority.

La Digesa alerted the population about the suspected mold in battimix vanilla flavored yogurt products with sanitary registered corn flakes A8006521N / NALCGO and vanilla flavored battimix with extruded rice dipped in chocolate with sanitary registration A8003121N / NAÑCGO of the Gloria company.

Gloria pronounces on the presence of mold in vanilla Battimix

The Gloria company issued a statement to the Securities Market Superintendency (SMV), after criticism for the presence of mold in its products.

“On October 11, a voluntary and preventive collection of the lots involved was carried out at the points of sale nationwide,” the company said after learning of the existence of this bacterium in certain containers.

“The General Directorate of Environmental Health and Food Safety (Digesa) has inspected our Huachipa plant in Lima, on Friday, October 29, and has been provided with all the requested information, including details of the lots in which it has been presented. this situation”, he detailed in the statement.

Likewise, Gloria explained in the document that in the face of this incident they are attending and receiving all consumer complaints through their official communication channels.

“The importance of maintaining the refrigeration of this product will be reinforced at a communicational level, as an additional measure to the internal investigation that we have been carrying out,” added the dairy company.
