President Pedro Castillo reiterated its commitment to bring natural gas from Bolivia to the southern regions of Peru, as part of the process of massification of the resource and the closing of gaps in the energy sector.
During his visit to the highland country, where the VI Binational Peru-Bolivia Cabinet took place, the president demanded a more frequent commercial exchange with the neighboring southern country that would allow not only the massification of gas, but also the second agrarian reform.
“Only united, only working towards the people will we continue. Brother Lucho, we work towards the people, that these Cabinets do not let go, let’s walk together, but not for speech, let’s take action; not so much protocol, not so many commissions, but actions, “he said.
In this sense, Castillo Terrones reaffirmed our country’s will for Bolivia to have access to the Pacific Ocean through the port of Ilo, in Moquegua, and proposed strengthening cooperation so that farmers from both nations can access fertilizers, tools and technology.
“There is much to do, but let’s start with the most urgent, we want the commitments to be scheduled and executed,” said the Peruvian Head of State, who highlighted the main actions implemented by his Government, such as the launch of the Second Agrarian Reform and the New Natural Gas Massification Policy.
Castillo invites Arce to Cajamarca
The Peruvian head of state also invited his Bolivian counterpart to visit the city of Cajamarca, where it is expected to organize the next binational cabinet between the two countries, under the title “Inca Atahualpa.”
For this reason, he said he was sure that Peruvians and Bolivians will value the progress made in the integrated management of the Lake Titicaca basin; the development of the Altiplano and the Amazon; the strengthening of the commercial and tourist relationship; the facilitation of the transit of people, goods and services; The education; the fight against illegal mining, smuggling, among others.
