The dollar closes the week on the rise and stands at S/3.7809

The price of the dollar closed the exchange session on Friday, March 17, and stood at S / 3.7809. In this way, the greenback rose by 0.82% in relation to the closing of the day before, when it reached S / 3.7500, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

Alexander Javier, Currency Trader of Renta4 SAB, pointed out that today the dollar started at levels of S/ 3.7700 and S/ 3.7800 due to the current situation due to the pardon of former President Alberto Fujimori, added to the demand of the local banks, thus, during the day the BCRP intervened with papers and in the spot.

On the other hand, the United States and China have recently joined talks of a possible peace or at least a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. The call between the two counterparts is scheduled and it is most likely that the United States will try to dissuade China from supporting Russia.
