The 10 kg bottle of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) will rise in price again. A recent statement from the company Llamagas announced the increase of S / 5.50.
“Due to the latest price variations from our main supplier Plus Petrol … we inform you that from tomorrow, Friday, October 29 (yesterday) the rate will increase,” says the official letter.
Modesto Cajigas, president of the Gas Distributors Association, said that it is a matter of hours for the other companies to notify the increase. “Llamagas is always the first, but surely the increase will be for all brands,” he remarked.
Cajigas mentioned that, with the new increase, the LPG bottle will cost between S / 52 to S / 55 in the distributors of the imperial city. Currently, gas is sold between S / 47 and S / 50, depending on the brand.
According to the leader, the new price would be implemented from this Monday. “Normally, when the rate changes, it is applied after a couple of days, until the lot that is in the distributors changes. When the merchandise is renewed, it already comes in with a different price ”, he explained.
The return of LPG to the Fuel Stabilization Fund brought relief to the economy only for a few weeks in September. Since then, the increases have been recurring again.
According to the specialist of the Regional Gas Institute, Iván Huamán, international price variations affect prices. For him, this phenomenon should not occur, since most of the domestic demand is served by Camisea gas.
“It is time for the government to transparent the real costs of production and packaging,” he stated.
