Jokin Bildarratz: “It is surprising to call a preventive strike without knowing the text”

The counselor has valued the strike call announced by the unions for March 25 in Education.

The Minister of Education of the Basque Government, Jokin Bildarratz, has been surprised by the call for March 25 strike in Education: “Without knowing the text they are working on or the agreements they are reaching, calling a preventive strike surprises“.

“Calling a strike that goes against dialogue and understanding is difficult to understand,” added the minister.

In the press conference after the Governing Council, the Basque Government Minister for Education, Jokin Bildarratz, made a first assessment of the strike call announced by the unions for March 25 in Education.

Jokin Bildarratz has highlighted that at the moment the parliamentary groups with representation in the Basque Parliament are negotiating around the draft educational pact to agree on a final text. has added that more than 100 amendments to the first text have been tabled and that they are not talking about workers’ rights.

Likewise, he stressed that before writing the first draft, some 100 social agents had passed through the Commission of the Basque Parliament.

The ELA, LAB, Steilas and CCOO unions have announced this Tuesday the call for a day of strike on March 25 in rejection of the draft of the educational pact that is being prepared by the Basque Parliament’s Education paper, and to demand that they be taken into account in its preparation.

The strike has been called throughout the educational system, public, concerted and in nursery schools, under the slogan “public, Euskaldun and own”.
