La startup Cafler was born in 2021 by the hand of Ricard Guillem e Inigo Diego with the aim of managing all car-related services in an agile, economical and safe way thanks to intelligent technology of our own creation. The first online delegated mobility platform announces its arrival on the market and announces its first round of financing for an amount of more than 800,000 euros.
Ricard Guillem is the CEO and founder of Cafler. With just 16 years old, presented his idea in mid-November at a Business Angels investment forum, exceeding his initial investment expectations in just a few months. In order to promote the growth of the company, Guillem has the experience of Iñigo Diego, co-founder of Cafler and with extensive professional experience in the sector at Michelin and as the founder of e.neumáticos.com.
The startup presented its business idea in November 2020 at an investment forum with the initial objective of obtaining 200,000 euros of financing; the result has been much better thanks to the trust of Sabadell Bank Y Order, as well as the participation of European leaders in investment such as, among others, Dídac Lee, René de Jong or Jacky Abitbol, partner of Cathay Innovation, one of the world’s leading investment funds. This initial investment will be used for technological development and team expansion, laying the foundations for the company.
“In this way, we are going to offer users various services, from passing the ITV to taking the car to the workshop or bringing it from the dealership after purchase. All through an algorithm of our own creation that allows to outsource any service associated with the car in a fast, economical and safe way ”, says Ricard Guillem, creator and CEO of the company.
In this way, the startup begins its activity in Madrid Y Barcelona through its star service: passing the ITV of those owners who, due to lack of time or expertise, prefer to outsource a daily task.
Cafler has its own network of professional, certified and clearly identified drivers, who guarantee quality service and free the user from basic tasks related to their vehicle. Thus, these drivers are in charge of collecting the vehicle, managing the service and returning it to the established delivery point. This network is made up of drivers hired on staff and self-employed professionals who dedicate a small part of their professional day to working for Cafler.
Cafler’s platform is aimed at both the end user and any agent in the automotive sector (workshops, insurance companies or dealers, etc.) who can offer added value to their customers economically. Thus, the platform launches a closed price of 9.99 euros, VAT included.
This delegated mobility service supposes an average economic cost for the workshop valued at 120 euros, including fees, which vary according to the cities. Thanks to Cafler’s technology, which makes the time of your fleet drivers profitable, you can reduce this cost up to 70%, thus eliminating the opportunity cost that the workshops suppose to assign qualified personnel to move a vehicle.
