“Currently we see that each year the female population in technical careers of all kinds is growing, which motivates us to continue training professionals who can empower themselves through knowledge and development of their skills, in order to contribute to reducing the gap of gender”, mentions Jorge Chávez, academic manager of SENATI.

This growth of young women studying a technical career is not only visible in Lima (4,144 students), but also in other cities of Peru such as Arequipa (1,342 students), Chiclayo (947 students), Talara (763 students) and Sullana ( 699 female students).

How much can women who studied a technical career earn?

The new needs of companies will make it necessary to have technical women who have soft skills, but above all who have certain technical skills to be able to work in the technological environment and in the areas of greatest demand.

Studying a professional technical career brings with it a series of benefits, one of the most important being income, which reaches S/3,300, depending on the degree of specialization. However, the salary can be higher in technology, mining or construction and sanitation industries.

Furthermore, it is estimated that the average investment in these careers is S/8,980, the same that is recovered in less than a year of work.
