The workers’ union of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), denounced wage discrimination against the administration of the banking entity, for more than a decade.
The bank workers, represented by their general secretary, Juan Salgado, indicated that this marginalization has been taking place since 2010, the year in which the BCRP chose not to increase their salaries after the reinstatement of employment applied by law 27803, in which they won their lawsuits. with judicial appeals.
According to what they say, the board of directors chaired by Julio Velarde adopted an agreement on April 12, 2012, establishing that the reinstated workers must have a salary reduced to the vital minimum, a fact that they consider violates the labor legal system and disregards the provisions of reinstatement sentences.
“In view of the whole world, they have been hiring personnel with high salaries of S/4,000, to fill the positions of the workers reinstated by order of the Judiciary, forcing them to take leave against their will on the grounds that there are budgeted places, for which they pay S/ 910 monthly”, explained Salgado.
