Davos Economic Forum cuts ties with Russia

This Wednesday, the organizers of the World Economic Forumwhich takes place annually in Davos (Switzerland), announced the suspension of relations with Russia.

In this sense, they will not maintain any link with persons or entities subject to sanctions after the Russian warlike invasion of Ukraine.

“Following its condemnation of Russia’s current attack on Ukraine, the Forum is complying with evolving international sanctions,” they detailed in an email.

This Davos Forum will take place from May 22 to 26 this year. The event brings together the global political, economic and diplomatic elite.

Finally, it is worth remembering that former President Dmitri Medvedev and Vladimir Putin have spoken five times in Davos since 2007, and the latter was even invited in 2015 despite the invasion of Crimea, although the president ultimately decided not to go.
