Exchange rate in Peru: how much is it trading today, Saturday, March 5, 2022

At the national level, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) reported that, according to the Survey of Macroeconomic Expectations, the indicator of expectations for the sector in three months rose from 49 points in January to 50 points in February. Meanwhile, the expectations of businessmen about the situation of their company turned from 50 to 52 points in this same period, going from the neutral section to the zone of optimism.

Likewise, as for the three-month demand indicator for its products, it rose from 51 to 53 points from January to February, within the section that denotes optimism. Likewise, the expectations of hiring personnel in this same period rose from 48 to 50 points. In relation to the investment index of its companies for three months, this increased from 45 to 49 points between January and February.

On the other hand, on the world scene, a group of officials from the European Union seeks to curb Russia’s influence and its access to financing in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as a sanction for its invasion of Ukraine. In a note by Jan Strupczewski and Francesco Guarascio, disclosed by Reuters, it is presumed that this scenario now being discussed would increase the pressure on the Russian economy and financial system. It would also mark “an important symbolic step, deepening Moscow’s international isolation.”
