Bonus to formal workers would cost S / 175 million per month

The Government announced that they will continue with the policy of granting direct subsidies to household pockets to reactivate domestic demand, in line with the rise in prices of basic products.

Thus, the premier Mirtha Vásquez reported on Monday that they will give temporary support of S / 70 per month to formal workers concentrated in the mypes and the sectors most affected by the pandemic such as commerce and services.

This economic support to workers in vulnerable situations would cost the State S / 175 million per month. And it is that as indicated by the head of the PCM, “this measure, which is different from the coverage of the Yanapay, will allow to improve in the short term the purchasing power of more than 2.5 million formal workers in vulnerable situations, thus mitigating the effect of recent increases in consumer prices ”.

In this regard, economists point out that tax collection will follow a positive trend, which sustains that these subsidies can be paid for, which will inject direct liquidity to households, in order to reactivate domestic demand.
