The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, together with the head of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), Geiner Alvarado, participated this morning in the delivery of 3,567 property titles for housing and urban equipment, which will directly benefit more of 14,200 inhabitants of Lima and Callao.
During the ceremony held in the Plaza de Armas of Puente de Piedra, the head of state emphasized that “a property title is not only the responsibility of the Government, it is justice for the people.” Likewise, he added that it is the obligation of the State to watch over and respect “the decent housing that the inhabitant should have.”
For his part, the head of the MVCS portfolio symbolically delivered 3,190 titles for housing and 377 for urban equipment, which correspond to public spaces and headquarters of public organizations. Of the latter, 11 correspond to the Education sector and 7 to the Health sector.
“There are those who say that the formalization of property is harmful to the State, but the truth is that titling drastically changes the lives of families,” said Alvarado.
“We are going to continue with the strategy of property titles, for the benefit of the most needy families, without ever exposing them to being affected by natural disasters and always fighting land trafficking,” he added.
