The National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) will execute an automatic proposal for the Electronic Purchase Registry to facilitate timely and voluntary compliance with tax obligations for those taxpayers who issue electronic payment receipts (CPE).
This tool —which will be implemented progressively from October of this year— will make companies no longer have to create the registry from scratch to present it monthly. Instead, they will be able to confirm the automatic proposal generated by Sunat or, if necessary, complete it with additional data.
Information on the acquisition of goods or services —obtained from invoices, bills, credit and debit notes, among other electronic documents— issued and confirmed through the various electronic issuance systems of CPE will be housed here.
Sunat details that it is advancing towards its objective of facilitating the generation of the monthly IGV tax return, reducing the incidence of errors in the creation of records and saving time and money for taxpayers.
Finally, the superintendency added that the new registration will be mandatory from January 2023.
