Mirtha Vásquez: Government would grant second Yanapay bond in 2022

During his presentation to the Congress of the Republic, the premier Mirtha Vasquez announced that the Government plans to grant a second Yanapay bond of 350 soles, if the prices of the basic basket continue to rise, this in line with the recovery of domestic demand.

“We consider it essential that the reactivation of the economy be sustained not only by the recovery of demand and the prices of the external markets towards which our minerals and our agricultural production are oriented, but also by the recovery of internal demand. The delivery of the Yanapay Bonus points to that objective. AND We will evaluate the possibility of a second bond in 2022 if the price increase is maintained and if the fiscal conditions allow it.”, Detailed Vásquez.

He also reported that the bond is currently aimed at 13.5 million citizens that were affected by the pandemic, in order to guarantee the coverage of the basic needs of Peruvian households whose income may have been affected by COVID-19.
