Vice Minister of the MTC submits her resignation: It has become an apparent employment agency

The Vice Minister of Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Fabiola Caballero Sifuentespresented his letter of resignation to the holder of that portfolio, Juan Silva Villegas, amidst the questions after being ratified in the position.

The official began her discharge by communicating the decision not to remain in that position any longer. “I am writing to you with the purpose of informing you of my decision to irrevocably resign from the position of trust of Deputy Minister of Transporta position that I have been exercising since my appointment by Supreme Resolution No. 013-2021-MTC, dated November 9, 2021″.

“(The MTC has) become an apparent employment agency to take over placements that require proven experience and qualification,” Caballero Sifuentes announced in said document addressed to the Minister of Transport and Communications.

Along these lines, the now former vice minister maintained that she was not consulted about changes in her office, which made her task difficult as an official in the position she had held since November 9, 2021.

“The permanent changes of the dependencies of the Vice Ministry of Transportation, without consulting my office, make it difficult to implement sectoral policies adjusted to State regulations that prioritize technical, transparent, efficient, and sustainability requirements, which are the ones that have been privileged. in the 15 years that I have been working in the sector,” he said.

On Sunday, February 13, the program Punto Final revealed that Juan Altamirano Sánchez, who worked as an administrative assistant for the MTC, was offering positions within said institution to people close to the Free Peru party. Julio Lazo, who a few days ago was an advisor to Juan Silva, would also have been involved in these illicit activities.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport and Communications reported that Juan Altamirano Sanchez and Julio Lazo Alvarez they no longer have any link with the institution.
