After the first shipment of organic oregano from Salas, from one of the districts considered extremely poor in the Lambayeque region, to the United States, the district mayor Antony Mesones Flores explained the model that led to make these exports a reality.

Producers
So far, he said that there are 30 producers, who make use of the eight hectares provided, and another 10 that are under evaluation by the agrarian office of the commune. “Now they are eight hectares that are certified, but another 22 are in that process. Those are the first steps for our district to become an agro-exporter ”, he continued.
In this first stage, five tons have been sent, the next will be six tons, the subsequent ones (third and fourth week) will be six tons for each one. “It is difficult to export because of the coronavirus, because of the protocols, and that is being fought against.
