The president of the Council of Ministers, Mirtha Vásquez, announced the direct delivery of a bonus of 70 soles per month for workers with salaries of up to 2,000 soles concentrated in micro and small companies (mypes) and in the sectors most affected by the pandemic of Covid-19, such as commerce and services.
“In order to provide temporary support to improve the purchasing power of formal workers in vulnerable situations, we announce that the State will grant a direct subsidy of 70 soles per month per formal employee for workers with salaries of up to 2,000 soles, the which are concentrated in mype and in activities severely affected by COVID-19, such as commerce and services ”, said the premier during his presentation before the Congress of the Republic.
Vásquez explained that this measure is different from the coverage of Yanapay, and will improve in the short term the purchasing power of more than 2.5 million formal workers in vulnerable situations, thus mitigating the effect of recent increases in consumer prices. .
