The Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS) authorized the dissolution and voluntary liquidation of BBVA Consumer Finance Edpymean entity dedicated to granting loans for the acquisition of light vehicles to individuals, SMEs and legal entities in general, eight years after it began operations.
Through SBS resolution No. 00429-2022, it is resolved that the termination of the company’s operations in the financial system, a process treated in accordance with the applicable regulations for this purpose, and Javier Faustino Viza La Rosa is appointed as liquidator .
“Authorize BBVA Consumer Finance Edpyme to proceed with its voluntary dissolution and liquidation in accordance with the schedule and the activities proposed in the documentation that was presented to this Superintendence and that is in the institution’s files,” the document states.
SBS reported that Edpyme has complied with submitting, together with its authorization request, a copy of the agreement of the Universal Shareholders’ Meeting, schedule of the dissolution process and subsequent liquidation; as well as the closing balance of operations.
The resolution of dissolution does not put an end to the legal existence of the company, which subsists until the liquidation process is concluded and, as a consequence, the extinction is registered in the corresponding Public Registry.
As of the publication of this resolution, the company ceases to be subject to credit, is unaffected by any tax that may accrue in the future, and is not covered by the obligations that this law imposes on companies in activity, including the payment of maintenance quotas to the Superintendence.
