Sanipes will exempt about 200 aquaculture production centers from payment for sanitary authorization

The Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that the National Fisheries Health Agency (Sanipes) approved the exemption from payment of the processing fee for farming centers that participate in two national plans to obtain the sanitary title qualification in the Aquaculture category for Micro and Small Enterprises (AMYPE).

In this regard, Produce indicated that the provision will benefit around 200 aquaculture production centers (CPA) registered in the subprojects PNIPA-ACU-SFOCA-SANIPES-PP-001: “Strengthening the management for the sanitary authorization of aquaculture production centers in the Puno region”, and PNIPA-ACU-SFOCA-SANIPES-PP-002: “Strengthening the technical capacities of the operators of the farming centers of the Peruvian jungle, for the fulfillment of the requirements for the sanitary authorization”.

“This measure is dictated in Executive Presidency Resolution No. 009-2022-SANIPES/PE, through which the aforementioned aquaculture production centers are exempt from paying the amount of S/ 1,338.2″, the ministry mentioned in a statement. Press release.

In addition, he explained that to date Sanipes has granted Sanitary Authorization to 53 aquaculture production centers in the Puno region through the PNIPA-ACU-SFOCA-SANIPES-PP-001 Subproject, where they mostly farm trout to sell them in the Bolivian market. Meanwhile, in the PNIPA-ACU-SFOCA-SANIPES-PP-002 Subproject, we delivered the qualifying title to 20 CPAs in San Martín and 8 CPAs in Madre de Dios.

Along these lines, the executive president of Sanipes, Pedro Saravia Almeyda, stressed that to date the entity is providing facilities at the national level to reduce gaps and lead them towards formalization.

He also emphasized that Sanipes, in addition to the modules contemplated in the development plans, “now we complete the circle with this benefit for the economy of aquaculture producers in the Puno region and the Peruvian jungle.”

Lastly, Produce stated that exemption from the payment of the fee for processing the TUPA procedure No. 13 of Sanipes, on “Issue, expansion of the Technical Protocol for Sanitary Enabling of bivalve mollusc production areas, aquaculture farming centers, production of seeds and others on a larger and smaller scale”, is only once and until the completion of both subprojects.
