Nearly 3,000 temporary jobs will be generated in Arequipa during 2022

The head of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), Betssy Chavez, announced that a total of 2,982 temporary jobs will be generated during 2022 in Arequipa through the Program Work Perufor the benefit of the vulnerable population of this region.

This is because, for this year, more than 60 immediate intervention activities are scheduled to be carried out in districts of Arequipa.

During the signing of various agreements between the executive director of Work Peru, Adolfo Vizcarra, and 11 mayors and local authorities of that region, the head of the MTPE indicated that, through this type of activity, cleaning and maintenance work can be carried out in educational premises, which will be reopened this year. This will allow the restart of eye classes.

The execution of all these activities, after the signing of their respective agreements, would require financing from the program of S/ 6 million 49 thousand 116.

The official also recalled that this year the methodology of district geographic targeting used by the aforementioned program has been changed, in such a way that its interventions are directed towards those districts with local governments that have insufficient or limited budgetary resources.

Intervention at the national level

Just as Arequipa will have this type of intervention by Work Peru, this signing of agreements has been replicated throughout the country with the intention of executing approximately more than 1,100 sheets of immediate intervention activities in educational premises for the generation of more than 54,000 jobs. temporary.
