Diesel, for its part, costs 1,444 euros per liter, just one tenth below its highest price since records began.
The price of gasoline has set a new record for the second consecutive week after rising 1.3% in the last seven days, while that of diesel has increased by 1.6% to reach its second highest value in history.
According to data released this Thursday by the Oil Bulletin of the European Union (EU), gasoline is sold this week in the Spanish State at an average of 1,558 euros per liter, while diesel does so at 1,444 euros.
With this rise, gasoline reaches a new maximum, after surpassing a record a week ago that had been in force for more than nine years. Diesel is only 0.1% below its highest price since records exist.
