The presidency of the Council of Ministers, through Ministerial Resolution No. 247-2021-PCM, approved the ranking of positions proposed by Indecopi in a process initiated more than two years ago in coordination with the Public Management Secretariat of the PCM. The document was published on October 23 in the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The norm establishes that the institution may have human capital to strengthen its strategic units such as the Regional Offices, the Directorate of the National Consumer Protection Authority and the Supervision Directorate. In addition, it will have specialized personnel to attend to the new functions assigned to the agency, such as business concentration and combating the circumvention of anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
According to a press release published by Indecopi, with the institution’s new Provisional Personnel Assignment table, “the promotion of the electronic signature infrastructure, which promotes the PCM through the State’s digital model, and the actions of institutional integrity promoted by the Secretariat of Public Integrity ”.

Indecopi’s new organizational structure is made up of 12 organic units. The same ones that in total will have 836 employees, of which 74 will be positions of trust.
Indecopi is an entity that serves seven competencies: protection of intellectual property, bankruptcy procedures, elimination of bureaucratic barriers, promotion of free competition, consumer protection, control of unfair competition and dumping and subsidies.
