Despite being one of the most questioned and having been challenged in Congress, Juan Francisco Silva Villegas was ratified this Tuesday, February 8, as head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (TCM) in a ceremony held in the Golden Hall of the Government Palace.
Silva Villegas, who has been in office since July 29, 2021, has a bachelor’s degree in Education from the Federico Villarreal National University and a second specialty in School Management with Pedagogical Leadership from the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, he was part of the cabinets from Guido Bellido, Mirtha Vasquez and Juan Valer.
The head of the MTC has a second specialty in School Management with Pedagogical Leadership from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
He also served as director of Educational Institution No. 5178, located in the Lima district of Puente Piedra since March 1, 2000.
The President announced the day before, through his Twitter account, the renewal and formation of a new Ministerial Cabinet, after the departure of Héctor Valer, who led the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) from February 1 to 5, 2022 .
