Next Thursday, the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso, will submit to the National Assembly the urgent economic project for the Promotion of Investments, which is part of the law to create opportunities, revealed this February 8, the coordinator of the Agreement Bank National (BAN), Juan Fernando Flores.
The current project, explained the legislator, will strengthen everything that has to do with investment within the Ecuadorian state for the generation of employment, which is what Ecuadorians are looking for. We hope that in 30 days the National Assembly will respond to a law that will allow the attraction of investment, he stressed.

Flores said that the project will be submitted as an urgent economic one, just as the government has also presented a demand to the National Assembly to advance in the processing of the project on the progressive use of force, as a tool that will help face insecurity.
He said that it is expected that with the tax reform and the investment law in the country, it will be possible to begin discussing the labor reform that will be after the urgent project that will be delivered to Parliament on Thursday.
There are different moments in which the investment will arrive in the country, Flores stressed, because with the tax reform a collection of $1,500 million was discussed, and there is an investment process of more than $4,500 million.
The coordinator of the bench stressed that President Guillermo Lasso’s visit to China was successful because it is not only the Chinese government that wants to invest, but also private capital.
He commented that there is currently legislation that has turned Ecuador into an island far from investment processes, thereby guaranteeing tax reform and strengthening legal matters, allowing public and private investment to reach the country so that employment can be generated. (I)
