The term is open to apply for grants of up to 70,000 euros in nightlife venues in the CAV

The nightlife venues can request From today, Tuesday, the new aid to the sector announced by the Basque Government. The amount amounts to a total of 22 million which tries to alleviate the losses due to the months of restrictions, which are still in force for the sector with the closure at 01:00. The application period for these grants will end on February 28.

The BOPV published on Monday the order that gives the green light to the program, as confirmed in an appearance from the Basque Parliament by the Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Consumption, Javier Hurtado. In this way, the hoteliers of Euskadi will be able to apply from today for these new aids that will fluctuate between 2,000 and 70,000 eurosdepending on the license:

-Establishments of Group IIconcert halls and hotel establishments not included in groups I and III with closing hours at 01:00 are divided into 11 sections with amounts ranging since the 2,000 to 6,000 euros.

-Establishments of Group IIIpubs and special bars with closing hours at 02:30 a.m. are divided into 4 sections with amounts from 6,000 to 25,000 euros.

-Locations of Group IVdance and entertainment establishments with closing hours at 04:30 a.m., also have 4 sections with amounts from 10,000 to 70,000.

The catering sector of the CAV has received a total of aid for an amount of €122 million. The first covid aid was 15 million, then the aid of 30 million was articulated; Specific aid for nightlife of 8 million and those derived from the Royal Decree of the Government of Spain, through the Department of Economy and Finance, which contributed 45 million to the hotel sector, were also approved.

Now, the Basque Government will distribute another 22 million euros to nightlife.
