Dollar in Peru: exchange rate opens higher and is quoted at S / 3.8553

The exchange rate starts the week on the rise on February 7, 2022 and stands at S/3.8553, according to Bloomberg. In this way, the value of the US currency records a slight increase of 0.09% in relation to the close of last Friday, February 4, when it stood at S / 3.8520 according to the report of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

The purchase of the dollar in the parallel market is at S/ 3,850. As for the sale, it amounts to S / 3,880. For its part, the price of the green ticket in the Credit Bank of Peru (BCP) is quoted at S/ 3,757, the purchase and sale at S/ 3,947.

On the political level, the president is still expected to swear in the new cabinet, as announced in the message to the nation he gave last Friday afternoon. As is recalled, the chief of staff Héctor Valer was criticized since his appointment for the allegations of family violence that he holds.

Internationally, European bond yields rose on Monday after the European Central Bank last week fueled speculation of monetary tightening from March, while US stock index futures signaled an open down on Wall Street on US inflation and rate hike concerns, Reuters reported.
